A drawing of both

As we said at the beginning of the post , all gifts made manually will delight parents on that day. If we have as a reference that painting and drawing are one of the activities that little ones like the most, you can take advantage of the occasion for the child to make a drawing reflecting his father and himself, or even the whole family.

Although it may seem like a very simple gift, it will show important aspects about how the little ones see their parents, as well as the importance of developing artistic expression, imagination and creativity.

With finger paint

Originality is always present in the gifts that the little ones make to their parents on Father’s Day. Therefore, this craft will seem extremely fun and parents will see it as a very original gift. To do it, you will only need the following materials:

  • A white sheet.
  • Black and white cardboard.
  • Paintings.

The palm of the child’s hand will represent the father’s face and hair. For this reason, with paint for hands, the little ones will introduce their fingers and then they will capture it on the blank sheet. Then, with a pencil and the help of the elders, they will mark the silhouette of the hand, which will form the face.

Inside this face, the eyes and a mustache will be drawn. You can make this mustache both on the folio itself with a pencil or superimposed with black cardboard, to give a more creative effect to the craft.

Finally, the white cardboard will be cut out in the shape of a tie and we will place it under the hand. You can decorate this tie with the materials or with the colors that you prefer, always according to the tastes of the father.

A photo frame

Photos are always nice gifts and will make great keepsakes. Therefore, below, we show you one of the most original crafts to celebrate Father’s Day, since we will not create a conventional photo frame.

For this craft you will need:

  • Cardboard.
  • Pair of scissors.
  • Pencil.
  • Four photographs.

On the cardboard we will draw the word dad in capital letters. Once drawn, we will cut out the leftovers of the four letters, that is, the ‘bellies’ of the letter p and the triangle of the letter a.

In that space is where we will include the photographs that we have chosen. For this, we advise you to choose photographs with a high level of approach to the face, since, if not, it will be difficult to place them in the holes of the letters. In this simple way, we will have a beautiful souvenir made entirely by hand that we assure all parents will love.

Bookmarks, one of the classic crafts to celebrate Father’s Day

One of the best ways to encourage reading in your little ones is to create reading-related crafts. If, in addition, the parents are lovers of literature, there will be no better gift for them.

The craft that we propose is, neither more nor less, than a bookmark totally created by the little ones so that their father can use it in all the books he reads. To do it, you will simply need the following materials:

  • A wooden clothespin.
  • Colored cardboard or felt.
  • Glue.

Without a doubt, this is one of the crafts in which you can use creativity and imagination the most. With the felt or colored cardboard, depending on the material you have chosen for it, you will create your father. The physical characteristics will be the ones that prevail in this craft: if he has a mustache, wears glasses, is blond, has curly hair, etc.

In addition to the face, so that the clip does not look like a support, you can create a long tie with the patterns or colors you want. Fun is guaranteed with this fantastic craft to celebrate Father’s Day.
